A tortured and bullet riddled death body was found outside the Jinnah Hospital in Karachi on Tuesday.
According to details, death body of a missing Sindhi Nationalist found outside the Jinnah hospital. later on the body was identified as Niaz Lashari.
Niaz Lashari was a member He was a member of the National Congress of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz – Arisar (JSQM-A). He was first forcibly disappeared by the Pakistan state agencies in April 2018 from Karachi, where he was residing and was later released in September 2018. He once again became the victim of enforced disappearance while returning from his hearing from an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in April 2019.
Protests were staged in several cities of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Shikarpur by Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh(VMPS), JSQM-A and other political parties and their families for the recovery of Niaz Lashari.
Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh has announced a protest condemning the incident.
The World Sindhi Congress (WSC) has expressed grave concern, and strongly condemned the extra-judicial murder of Niaz Lashari. The Pakistani state is on a rampage of committing gross violations of human rights of Sindhi people including enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings of Sindhi political, civil society and human rights defenders.
The WSC has vowed to raise the case of extra-judicial murder of Niaz Lashari with the United Nations, and other relevant forums to request their intervention in Sindh to save Sindhi people from the atrocities being committed by Pakistan with impunity.
Along with Niazi Lashari, the tortured body of another man was found which has not been identified.
The ‘kill and dump’ policy, which was initiated in Balochistan, has now been extended to Sindh also. According to campaign groups, scores of Sindhi nationalist political activists have been killed and dumped in last few years.
